Flatland was
a regular fixture at Allen's Cafe during the 1980's and 90's.
The group was basically a vehicle for the talents of foundational members Richard Wilson (vocals, guitar) and Wanda Westmorland (vocals, piano) along with a multitude of pickers who filled the other various instrumental rolls. Pictured above is also Mary Sessions a sometimes bass player.
Pictured
at the left with Richard and Wanda in a 1992 photo are Gene LaBrie (bass)and
Crabgrass members, Al Harris (banjo) and Earl Meadows (fiddle). The bottom
photo and audio are from the group's 1990's cassette album entitled "Down
South with Flatland".

Clockwise from left: Gene LaBrie (bass), Harry Keen
(fiddle), Richard Wilson (lead vocal, mandolin, guitar), Wanda Westmoreland
(vocals,
