Patti left WGTO in 1986 and went to work for Lyle Wood, who had started a messages-on-hold company until that company moved in 1989. She then moved into the Medical field and started working as an X-ray technician.

Patti married and moved to Orlando in 1993 where she and her husband owned 3 Pawnshops from 1993-1999. Her husband passed away in 1999 and she moved over to the Tampa area.

She has since returned to the medical field, working for a while at a Workmans Comp claims processing company, at Moffitt Cancer Center, and since 2002, as a patient services rep for a USF physicians group.

She is also studying to be a gemologist but says this will probably just be a hobby.

In Patti's words she says, "I miss radio a lot and have often thought about getting a part time job at one of the stations in the Tampa area. We were a 'Family' at WGTO. The last day on the air was very sad for everyone. A new job in radio would be fun...but it will never be the same as WGTO!"
