Back In The

OUTHOUSE TAPES / CAS-OH-101
Recorded 1988-89 at the OutHouse Studio, Auburndale, FL
When I got my very first studio equipment (8-trk cassette),
the first project I did was to record an album for my Uncle "Boots",
who was about seventy years of age at the time. Purists will probably
hate my production of some of the old songs, but I wanted to learn my
equipment and also I wanted to use every picker in the area that I knew
at the time. Uncle Boots passed away in 1991, and I am so glad I took
the time to get some of his old songs on tape.

We recorded this one straight bluegrass with a group of pickers Joe Spann
put together. I know nothing of this song's origins and Uncle Boots is
the only one I've ever heard do it.
